The children are working downtown at a coffee shop. Mark has taken the car to get new tires. Charlie has had her walk. The painter is working in the main hallway. I'm researching information about The Way.
I've ordered a book on Amazon, Sarria to Santiago: A Guide to Walking the last 100km of the Camino Frances (2017 Edition) (MM3 Guides) (Volume 1) .
Read a feed on footwear. Boots? Sandals? Will have to continue to research. Read good things about Altra Timp.
Read another feed about women alone on The Way. All good if you use common sense.
Someone wrote, something to the effect of, "It's not the destination, it's the journey." Doing the Walk in the manner that suits you. It's yours, not anyone else's.
I enjoyed this blog, http://andaluciadiary.com/sarria-to-santiago-de-compostela-my-itinerary-on-the-camino-de-santiago/ by Andrew Forbes. It has photos, links, recommendations and contact numbers.
I read about the scallop shell. Interesting - using it as an eating/drinking tool, begging. - Now it's a symbol of The Camino.

He said "No!" So, it's a "GO!"
December 26, 2017
This morning Mark gave his answer. "No." He doesn't want to travel to Europe this summer. As I told him, "I'm absolutely fine with your answer. You don't want to and that's ok. We're different." With his answer - one I gave him ~month to decide - I am off to plan MY trip to Europe this summer!!
It will be my first solo trip, although one could argue that my very first trip to Europe with ISE, (International Student Exchange), in the summer of 1979 was a solo one since I didn't know anyone at the beginning. - But that was a bus tour through 13 different countries. This is a walking trip over the last 100 km of the Camino de Santiago.
Here's a resource I'm looking at to plan my journey. Just click on the pic.
